The SU-100 uses the ultrasonic contact impedance method to do comparative hardness measurements for testing pieces but also has the added advantages of high accuracy, efficiency, portability, and easy operation. It is widely used to measure the hardness of small forgings, cast materials, weld inspection, heat affected zones, Ion-nitrided stamping dies and molds, forms, presses, thin-walled parts, bearings, and tooth flanks.
